I AM
These two short words hold the astounding potential to reshape our lives and reality.
The two humble words ‘I AM' may appear inconsequential at first glance, but they carry within them a deep reservoir of power and significance. They form the basis of our identity and self-perception, and they possess the potential to shape our thoughts, beliefs, and actions in transformative ways. There is a potent, sacred frequency and energy within the words, I AM.
“You are the Creation, Created by the Creator to Create”
-Nancy Fairchild
Let's take a journey through the maze of these two words that, like magic, wield the power to shape our universe.
Whispering I AM Creates Our Identity
When we say, I AM, we're not just making a statement. We're moulding our identity, like a painter on canvas, stroke by stroke. When you say, ‘I AM kind,' it's like you're making a promise to yourself. It's an affirmation that you are someone who believes in kindness and acts with compassion.
And it's not just about painting a self-portrait. It's about how you see yourself.
When you say ‘I AM strong,' you're telling yourself that you can weather any storm.
When you say, ‘I AM worthy,' you're reminding yourself that you are valuable and deserving.
And when you say, ‘I AM Beautiful', you exude beauty, you walk a little taller and shine with confidence !!
So let's start painting ourselves in the Brightest Colours !
We Use the Words I AM Every Single day !
As I write this article and reflect more upon the powerful frequency of these words, I am realising how important it is to master them intentionally. We have a responsibility to ourselves, to learn how to wield these words intentionally, to lead a happy, healthy, balanced and conscious life.
Did you know that either consciously or subconsciously, a person thinks the I AM phrase on average 10 times a day? This may vary significantly for someone practicing positive affirmations, or during moments where our emotional state is compromised with self doubt, self confidence or self identification challenges.
However, based on this conservative estimate, lets look at the numbers over a year.
Thinking I AM Estimation
-
- Daily – 10 times
- Weekly – 70 times
- Monthly – 300 times
- Yearly – 3650 times
That's 3650 times in a year !!!
They say it takes 10,00 hours of practice to be a Master or Professional in any certain field.
So, Oh Wow ! I am in my 50's.
50 x 3650 = 182,500
182, 500 times I have mostly, unconsciously used the words I AM!!
How many times have I whispered these words negatively to myself? Hmmm, thats actually quite alarming!
My key takeaway? We owe it to ourselves to be conscious of our self talk and I AM statements.
Use them to build a life that reflects your truest self. Every I AM is a brushstroke on the canvas of our life. So, Make each one count!
“Life is a mirror, reflecting your I AM,
the blueprint of your self-image and the manifestation of your sacred intention.
Be mindful of what follows your I AM.
It is, after all, your masterpiece in the making.”
– Rachel Gaia
The most powerful I AM exercise, I've EVER seen.
(This one Exercise alone, changed my sister's life)
My sister has an ongoing medical condition where her specialists explained it would be very unsafe for her to carry a child. This weighed heavily on her as she yearned to begin a family with her husband, but it was just not possible. In her 30's, by some miracle her Doctor informed her that her levels looked adequate enough to try for a child … but she only had a one year window to fall pregnant. She would need a team of specialists monitoring her if she was to fall pregnant and carry to term safely, but they were offering her this one year to see if they could make her dream a reality. Now all she had to do was fall pregnant?
After many months of trying, and the deadline in view, my sister was quite frantic. I told her about this very I AM manifesting technique and although she thought it was all a little woo woo, she agreed to give it a try.
Here is the very formula we used. I call it the
I AM Manifestation In Motion
1. Be very clear on what it is you'd like to achieve or manifest – eg confidence/better relationship etc or for my sister – a healthy baby
2. As you wake up in the morning and before getting out of bed, drop into your heart space and feel into the energy of the words as you say I AM ______ . (eg. I AM pregnant). This is powerfully validating your intention for the day.
3. Imagine all the beautiful possibilities of your personal I AM Statement, realised. Try to incorporate all of your senses
(eg. I AM pregnant with a beautiful baby girl and I cant wait to hold her close, smell her gorgeous baby smell, kiss her on her little forehead, and listen to her special cooing noises as she sleeps)
4. Now its time to get on with your day. But moving forward it goes something like this.
As you are going about your daily tasks, for instance, washing the dishes, say to yourself
“I AM washing the dishes because ___.” (eg. my baby enjoys eating from clean plates).
“I AM cleaning the windows because ___.” (eg. my baby will have a clearer view of the garden outside).
“I AM eating this salad because ___.” (eg. it nourishes my body for a healthy pregnancy).
“I AM driving my car to work because___.” (eg. it has a baby seat in the back, ready for me to bring home my healthy bub from hospital).
Try it for simple things like, cleaning teeth, having a shower, cooking a meal, doing the grocery shopping. The possibilities are endless.
Basically, you are changing the narrative of your whole day utilising the very powerful I AM statements.
It doesn't matter how mundane or important the task, just give your I AM a purpose and motion.
This creates an action and reality for your I AM statement.
So how did this Exercise change my sister's life?
Two weeks after my sceptical sister began her I AM Manifestation in Motion process she fell pregnant and my niece is now 15 years old!
To this day, my sister swears, she doesn't know how or why it worked? but this Exercise is what enabled her to become a mother to her beautiful blessing of a daughter.
Your Echo of I AM in the World
You know what's fascinating about I AM? It doesn't just echo within you. It radiates outwards, reaching the people around you, like a sunflower towards the sun. If you're always saying ‘I AM confident,' others are likely to see your shining light and respond positively. But if you're constantly saying, ‘I AM not good enough,' it's like a fog around you, causing others to see you as uncertain and unsure.
Imagine yourself as an artist, holding the brush of I AM to paint your life's canvas. The colours you choose will influence not only the final masterpiece but also how observers perceive it. So choose wisely, consciously selecting positive I AM affirmations that align with your values and aspirations.
The Healing Power of I AM
I AM statements can be a magic potion for your life. Say positive things like ‘I AM strong,' ‘I AM confident,' and ‘I AM worthy' and you'll find yourself brimming with self-belief and radiating positivity. This can help you build healthy relationships and achieve success in whatever you do.
The significance of I AM extends beyond our mental and emotional well-being. These words also affect our physical health, as our thoughts and emotions have a direct impact on our physical body. Negative self-talk can contribute to stress, anxiety, and depression, while positive affirmations can alleviate stress and promote overall wellness. Negative talk can be like a poison, causing illness and directly and negatively spiralling our mental and emotional health. But positive I AM affirmations can work like a healing tincture, reducing stress and promoting overall wellness.
The Intentional Use of I AM in the Bible
The resonance of I AM extends beyond our personal narratives and deeply entrenches itself in spiritual and religious doctrines. In the Holy Bible, ‘I AM' is God's chosen descriptor – an all-encompassing term capturing the eternal nature of the Divine. When Moses sought to know God's name in Exodus, God responded, “I AM WHO I AM”, affirming His eternal existence and His Divine self-definition.
In the New Testament, it is used by Jesus Christ to reveal His divinity and mission on Earth.
Here are the seven times I AM is mentioned in the Bible with their respective verses:
1. “I am the bread of life.” – John 6:35
2. “I am the light of the world.” – John 8:12
3. “Before Abraham was, I am.” – John 8:58
4. “I am the door of the sheep.” – John 10:7
5. “I am the good shepherd.” – John 10:11
6. “I am the resurrection and the life.” – John 11:25
7. “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” – John 14
These I AM statements not only reveal Jesus' divinity but also bind His role as the Saviour of the world. By proclaiming Himself as the bread of life, Jesus offers sustenance to those who believe in Him. By claiming to be the light of the world, He provides guidance and direction. By stating that He is the way, the truth, and the life, Jesus demonstrates that He is the path to salvation.
I AM holds powerful spiritual meaning in the Bible, representing God's eternal nature and Jesus' role as the source of spiritual nourishment. It continues to inspire and guide believers to this day.
The Sacredness of the I AM Statement
The phrase I AM carries a deep spiritual meaning that also transcends religion and culture. At its core, I AM refers to the concept of self-awareness, realisation, and connection to the Divine. It serves as a reminder of our innate power as creators of our reality and a call to embrace our true nature as spiritual beings.
I AM is like a spiritual whisper that echoes in our hearts, reminding us of our Divine connection. It encourages us to tap into our inner wisdom and make our dreams a reality. When we say I AM, we are not only defining ourselves but also connecting with the Divine Energy within us.
In many spiritual traditions, I AM is considered a sacred statement that signifies the presence of the Divine Within us. It is a way to connect with our higher self and access our inner wisdom and intuition. This phrase is often used in meditation and prayer to affirm our connection to the Divine and express our gratitude for the blessings in our lives.
I AM is also associated with the concept of manifestation. By declaring I AM statements, we affirm our desires and intentions, bringing them into reality. This technique is often used in manifestation practices to attract abundance, love, and success into our lives.
It reminds us of our Divine Essence, urging us to create a peaceful, loving world through the thoughts we nurture and the words we utter.
I AM is not just a phrase; it's a mighty declaration of who we are and who we can be. It's our call-to-action, our chance to shape our lives the way we want. I AM is not merely two words but a powerful proclamation that is a key to our self-perception, a reflection for others, a Divine testament, and a spiritual invocation. It's a call to God, to the universe, an affirmation to ourselves, and a mirror to others. It has the potential to shape our reality and write our story.
The words we speak and the thoughts we think have a powerful impact on our lives and the world around us. By using positive I AM statements, we can consciously transform our reality.
So the next time you find yourself uttering I AM, remember the potency of these two words. Choose the words that follow with intention, painting a reality that resonates with your True Self and your Soul.
